PROF. DR. KHALIL AHMED IBUPOTO ATTENDED SECOND VICE CHANCELLORS CONFERENCE


Higher Education Commission, Research & Analysis Activities Wing held an interactive Training on Capacity Building Program for Focal Persons of HEI’s of interior Sindh Province in collaboration with Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur on Pakistan Citizen’s Portal as part of the Prime Minister’s mission to better address public complaints. To this effect, the Executive Director of HEC had directed the focal persons to ensure their participation in the training. It was attended by 25 focal persons from 16 Universities of interior Sindh province.

Mr. Saleemullah Sohoo , Director HEC briefed all these focal persons of HEI’s about Higher Education Commission is the hub for in-service continuous capacity building and professional development of the higher education university management across HEI's all over Pakistan. He said it is imperative to impart capacity building trainings to the focal persons of HEI's for effective service delivery with a special focus on effective management of complaints regarding performance of various institutions of Higher Education across the country and also redressal of public grievances in a better way. The focal persons were briefed on policy formulation for just and sustainable resolve to public complaints by Senior officers of HEC. During the course of training, the focal persons were given awareness of Prime Minister's Kamyab Jawan Program of sports activities and employability skills saving water & energy because its essential attention issue of Pakistan.

The training was conducted to equip the focal persons developed to understand them Dashboard in their respective organizations. Focal persons were trained on the Handling Dashboard of Pakistan Citizen Portal so they can easily understand complaints & suggestions handling processes and ensure that complaints are resolved in the manner of a possible relief provided to the complainant.

Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Mashori, Dean Faculty of Arts & Languages on behalf of Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor. Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over the closing ceremony while Engr. Prof. Dr. Syed Madad Ali Shah, Vice Chancellor, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology & Skill Development Khairpur was the chief guest. They gave away the certificates among the participants. After Sindh, such training will be arranged for focal persons of HEI’s other provinces as well.

Prof. Dr. Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Focal Person, Pakistan Citizen’s Portal, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur provided the facilitation for organizing this training.

Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Mr. Zohaib Memon, Secretary to Vice Chancellor and others were present on this occasion.

ALL PAKISTAN INTER-UNIVERSITY VOLLEY BALL ZONE-H (BOYS) CHAMPIONSHIP 2021-22 CONCLUDED  
 
The All Pakistan Inter-University Volley Ball Zone-H (Boys) Championship 2021-22 organized by the Sports Section, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in collaboration with Higher Education Commission concluded at Syed Qaim Ali Shah Indoor Sports Complex of University. Prof. Dr. Khalil. Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony. 
 
In the final match of the championship, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur beat Sukkur IBA University by 3-0 and won the championship comprehensively. 
 
Talking to the players and participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said we have provided traditional and local hospitality to the participant teams. During the Championship, players played professionally and with vigor. He said sports culture is very essential for the promotion of healthy activities and positive mindset. The Vice Chancellor extended his cordial thanks to the Vice Chancellors of the various Universities who provided opportunity to their students in order to participate in this championship. Dr. Ibupoto also accorded the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad for sponsoring this event.

ALL PAKISTAN INTER-UNIVERSITY VOLLEY BALL ZONE-H (BOYS) CHAMPIONSHIP 2021-22 INAUGURATED 
 
The All Pakistan Inter-University Volley Ball Zone-H (Boys) Championship 2021-22 organized by the Sports Section, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in collaboration with Higher Education Commission inaugurated at Syed Qaim Ali Shah Indoor Sports Complex of University. Prof. Dr. Khalil. Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur inaugurated the Championship while Prof. Dr. Syed Madad Ali Shah, Vice Chancellor, Benazir Bhutto University of Technology (BBSUTSD), Khairpur was the Chie Guest and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Keerio, Principal, Govt. Agriculture College, Khairpur was the Guest of Honor. 
 
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said sport is as old as humanity itself. It’s kept societies fit, healthy and assertive. It builds strong communities, cooperation, understanding and boosting morale. Dr. Ibupoto remarked that in this digital age and modern world of iPhones and laptops, the importance of sports is more relevant and concerned. Competitive physical exercise not only motivates youth to get outside and keeps them fit, but it also promotes the important values of tolerance and passions.
 
Prof. Dr. Syed Madad Ali Shah said that sports activities are integral part of life the co-curricular activities at campuses. Such activities create a healthy society. The social evils could be eradicated with the help of sports activism. Dr. Shah appreciated the untiring efforts of Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for promoting the sports culture at the campus. 
 
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Keerio said Higher Education Commission, Islamabad is committed to promote the sports culture at the campuses. Sports culture may be promoted at college level also so the best teams and players may be produced for the country. 
 
Dr. Syed Baqir Ali Shah, Chairman Sports Section welcomed the guests and participants. He said we are striving to provide better and possible sports facilities to our students. 
 
Mr. Muhammad Murad Pirzada, Director Physical Education accorded vote of thanks to Vice Chancellor and Higher Education Commission, Islamabad for organizing this event at this University. 
 
It is recalled that the teams from Sufi University, Bhitt Shah, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, Sukkur IBA University, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro and host Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur are participating in this championship. 
 
A large number of teachers and students witnessed the ceremony. 
 
In today’s matches, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam beat Sufi University, Bhitt Shah by 3-0 and Sukkur IBA University beat Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro by 3-0.
