VICE CHANCELLOR PRESIDES OVER THE MEETINGS WITH INSPECTOR OF COLLEGES AND DIRECTOR ADMISSIONS
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over the meetings with Inspector of Colleges and Director Admissions along with other officers of both sections.
Mr. Nazir Ahmed Mangnejo Inspector of Colleges briefed the Vice Chancellor that after less intensity of COVID-19, the affiliated colleges have been opened. The process of recovery of re-affiliation fees of colleges is underway. The date of admission of Associate Degree in Arts, Commerce, and Science is extended in order to admit the students in the new programs.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto directed the Inspector of Colleges that affiliation to private colleges as per minimum eligibility criteria of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad may be given on the basis of public private partnership and a mechanism and Terms of References (TORs) may be set. The Vice Chancellor also directed that efforts be taken for the establishment of new Study Centers of the University which may impart market oriented subjects in order to impart education to the students at their doorstep.
The Inspector of Colleges assured the Vice Chancellor that a comprehensive plan in this regard shall be submitted within 15 days.
Meanwhile, a meeting with the Incharge Director Admissions Mr. Shahid Hussain Mahar and related officers was also convened. Mr. Shahid Hussain Mahar apprised the Vice Chancellor about the mechanism of admission process and admission policy. He said that first ever online admission process has been initiated by the University. The admission process has been started and its closing date has been fixed up to 26th October. The Pre-Entry Test of Bachelor Program will be held on 12th November and the Pre-Entry Test for Masters Program will be held on 13th November 2020.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed directed the Director Admissions that more transparency be maintained in the forth-coming admissions and admission committee be reconstituted representing Deans of all Faculties to supervise the entire admission process accordingly. Dr. Khalil Ibupoto stressed the need to the concerned to work hard with diligently and efficiently in their respective section for the convenience of public and students at large.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Director Media & Public Relations, Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto, Registrar and Mr. Ataullah Phulpoto, Director Education were present in the meetings.
PROF. DR. KHALIL AHMED IBUPOTO CHAIRED THE MEETINGS OF DIFFERENT SECTIONS
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur chaired meetings of the various Sectional Heads along with their officers in order to discuss their achievements and future plan for soft image building of the University.
The first meeting was convened with the Director Finance Mr. Nisar Ahmed Noonari and other officers of the Finance Wing. Mr. Nisar Ahmed Noonari briefed the Vice Chancellor about the financial picture of the University. He briefed the position of grants received from the Sindh Government, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, financial deficit and pending liabilities.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor stress the need for financial management in real spirit and directed the Director Finance to take assertive measures to control the expenditure and submit a comprehensive plan for automation and directed him to device the policy to pay the pending liabilities and ensure the disbursement of salaries to all staff timely.
The second meeting was convened with the Chief Security Officer Mr. Tarique Bhatti and other security officers. Mr. Bhatti briefed the Vice Chancellor the issues pertaining to security mechanism.
Dr. Khalil Ibupoto reiterated that the security apparatus of the University may be beefed up in order to liaison with the District Administration. He directed that the security related equipments if are non functional may be made functional which includes CCTV Camera, Walkthrough Gates and other gadgets.
The third meeting was held with the Controller of Examinations Mr. Ghulam Shabbir Phulpoto and other officers of the Examination Wing. Mr. Ghulam Shabbir Phulpoto apprised the Vice Chancellor that the online filling of examinations forms are underway of B.A Part-I and M.A (Previous). We are trying our level best to redress the grievances.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto directed the Controller of Examinations that more transparency in the Examinations Wing may be made and the conduct of Examinations and announcement of results be made timely in order to avoid any unprecedented delay in order to cover the gap of COVID-19 and prepare the schedule of pending Annual Examinations of M.A (Final) Viva-Voce and Practical of B. Sc Part-I, II so the precious time of candidates could be saved. The Vice Chancellor directed the Controller of Examinations that Examinations be conducted as per SOPs of Government in the wake of COVID-19.
The fourth meeting was convened with the Registrar Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto and officers of the Registrar office. Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto apprised the Vice Chancellor that the Registrar office is working in right direction as per University Code. There is no any delay on the part of the Registrar office as far as academic and administrative business is concerned.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ibupoto said we have need of cooperation from all the stakeholders of University in order to render their services with utmost dedication, devotion and commitment because this Alma mater is our top priority like our home.
WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY COMMEMORATED
The World Teachers’ Day was commemorated at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur jointly organized by the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO) and Rotary Club Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over the event.
Speaking to the participants, Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that it is matter of pride that I am a teacher, being a teacher it is a big responsibility. He said teacher is highly respected segment of the society. Teacher must contribute positively in order to change the society towards personality development, character building of students and community service at large. He said, the society is based on teachers, students, parents, community and government. Teaching profession is highly dignified. There is need of delivery with the patience, commitment and devotion, he added.
Mr. Sarfraz Ali Korejo, Charter President, Rotary Club Khairpur Bhittai cordially welcomed the worthy Vice Chancellor and other distinguished. Mr. Korejo highlighted the main areas of the Rotary i.e. promotion of peace, fighting against diseases, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, save mothers and children, support education (scholarships) opportunities, grow local economies and community engagements.
Engr. Abdul Jabbar Shaikh, Aid to Governor Rotary Club, Khairpur Bhittai Dr. Farhan Esa appreciated the hospitality provided by the University administration. He said, our organization firmly believes in collaboration with prestigious institution. I am optimistic that under the able guidance and patronage of Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor we will embark on various projects.
Ms. Saira Solangi, Director Programs MRDO also highlighted the importance of the teachers. She said, due to the untiring contribution of teachers in the world, international society has been developed in terms of development, human resource management, research and service delivery. She announced to present 40 COVID-19 hygiene kits to the poorest employees of the University.
Moreover, they will launch two year peace project with the Institute of International Relations.
Mr. Hameedullah Mahar and Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh also spoke on the significance of the day.

DR. KHLIL AHMED IBUPOTO LAID FLORAL WREATH ON THE SHRINE OF HAZRAT SHAH ABDUL LATIF BHITTAI AND CHAIRED THE INTRODUCTORY MEETING WITH DEANS
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur laid floral wreath on the shrine of Sufi Saint Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A) on the occasion of 277th Urs along with Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto, Registrar of the University. Dr. Ibupoto prayed for the peace, progress and development of the country and especially for the progress and prosperity of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.
After joining the office of the Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto chaired an introductory meeting with all Deans of the Faculties.
Speaking to the participants of the meeting, Dr. Khalil Ibupoto stressed the Deans to extend their cooperation because I firmly believe in team work rather than one man show. Since two-side cooperation is essential to develop consensus, cooperation and mutual trust in order to achieve our destination to accomplish our agenda for the development of the University because University needs team of good managers who work with honesty, dedication to redress the various issues pertaining to financial crisis, academic and physical development, he added.
The Deans assured the Vice Chancellor that they will extend their full cooperation in the soft image building of the institution because this is our collective institution and put forwarded their good suggestions and ideas for the betterment of this Alma mater.
