WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY COMMEMORATED

The World Teachers’ Day was commemorated at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur jointly organized by the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO) and Rotary Club Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over the event.

Speaking to the participants, Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that it is matter of pride that I am a teacher, being a teacher it is a big responsibility. He said teacher is highly respected  segment of the society. Teacher must contribute positively in order to change the society towards personality development, character building of students and community service at large. He said, the society is based on teachers, students, parents, community and government. Teaching profession is highly dignified. There is need of delivery with the patience, commitment and devotion, he added.


Mr. Sarfraz Ali Korejo, Charter President, Rotary Club Khairpur Bhittai cordially welcomed the worthy Vice Chancellor and other distinguished. Mr. Korejo highlighted the main areas of the Rotary i.e. promotion of peace, fighting against diseases, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, save mothers and children, support education (scholarships) opportunities, grow local economies and community engagements.  

Engr. Abdul Jabbar Shaikh, Aid to Governor Rotary Club, Khairpur Bhittai Dr. Farhan Esa appreciated the hospitality provided by the University administration. He said, our organization firmly believes in collaboration with prestigious institution. I am optimistic that under the able guidance and patronage of Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor we will embark on various projects.

Ms. Saira Solangi, Director Programs MRDO also highlighted the importance of the teachers. She said, due to the untiring contribution of teachers in the world, international society has been developed in terms of development, human resource management, research and service delivery. She announced to present 40 COVID-19 hygiene kits to the poorest employees of the University.
Moreover, they will launch two year peace project with the Institute of International Relations.

Mr. Hameedullah Mahar and Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh also spoke on the significance of the day.

Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Director Media & P.R, Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto, Registrar, Prof. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Mr. Yousuf Kurio, Dr. Zaheer Soomro, Dr. Javed Ujjan and others attended the event.
