A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked between Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and Makhdoom Abdul Rahman Shaheed Cultural, Educational and Development Trust, Khuhra. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and Makhdoom Nadeem Ahmed Hashmi, Chairman of the Trust signed the MoU.
The trust shall cooperate for the arrangement of Seminars, conferences on Sufism, Peace, Tolerance, Education, Culture in collaboration with Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. The teaching and research work of Makhdoom Abdul Rahman Shaheed and other Saints will be carried out. The trust will establish any institute for the education of Sufism. The University will provide technical support for the development of the syllabus.
Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur under this agreement, will conduct the research work of M. Phil and Ph. D program on Islamic Studies, Sufism, History and Culture. Moreover, the seminars will be organized on the life of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Sachal Sarmast, Makhdoom Abdul Rahman Shaheed, Sufi Shah Inayat and others. The Makhdoom Abdul Rahman Shaheed Chair will be established at Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur.
Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi, Director Institute of Islamic Studies, Prof. Altaf Aseem, Focal Person of the Trust, Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, Director Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Noor Hassan Chandio, Incharge Department of Geography, Mr. Ashfaque Shaikh, Mr. Zohaib Memon, Secretary to Vice Chancellor and others were present on this occasion.
A group of students visited the worthy Vice Chancellor to brief about their participation in 4 weeks ‘ISPR Internship Programme 2021’ held at GHQ Rawalpindi. The students apprised the Vice Chancellor that they learnt about 5th Generation warfare, Hybrid Warfare, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Media and its role, CPEC, Pakistan Music and Film Industry themes. The students expressed entire satisfaction on the Internship Programme and expected to attend such other similar programs to learn and contribute for national cause.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, The Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, congratulated the students for the completion of 4 weeks Internship Programme. The Vice Chancellor expressed his happiness and encouraged the students to perform their role in nation building. The Vice Chancellor stressed upon the Internees to aware other students about what they learn from internship. The Vice Chancellor Showed his firm resolve to provide every opportunity to students through which they can compete with students from all over world.
The students thanked Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, the vice chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and the Mr. Ishrat Ali Mirani, the Student Advisor, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, for providing the platform to participate in such healthy Internship Program.

All the appearing candidates of M.A (Previous) Journalism Annual Examinations-2020 are hereby informed that their today's scheduled Practical Examination will be conducted at the Department of Media & Communication Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur on Monday September 27, 2021 at 11:00 am.
The appearing candidates are advised to appear in the cited Examination as per announced schedule.

The Spokesperson of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur has clarified in his statement with reference to protest and sit in of Shah Abdul Latif University Teachers Association (SALUTA). The Spokesperson has maintained that approximately 165 posts of various categories of Faculty Members have been advertised. However, the scrutiny process will be completed within short span of time. At this juncture, the next advertisement for promotion of various posts is difficult owing to non provision of budget, and non existence of posts as per budget book . The Spokesperson has clarified that incumbent Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto is working day and night along with his team for the betterment of the University. It is glaring example that recently the long awaited pensionary benefits of the retired staff has been resolved and the cheques Rs. 230 Million were disbursed among the retired staff. The monthly salaries are being disbursed timely. The Spokesperson has mentioned that the other demand for the payment of remaining bills and dues will be paid as soon as budgetary allocation is availed. The Annual Examinations is also being conducted in peaceful and congenial environment. The Registrar was appointed by the Ex- Vice Chancellor not by the incumbent Vice Chancellor. Wherein, the appointment of regular Registrar, the advertisement has been floated in the Press.
The Spokesperson has requested the protesting teachers to come forward for dialogue and contribute their services in the interest of students and nation.
