An Interactive Session with the Scholars of M.S, M. Phil and Ph. D Programs was organized by the Department of Economics, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto presided over the session.
Talking to the participants of the session, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said it is high time that research and innovation may be promoted in line with the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. Dr. Ibupoto stressed the research scholars to concentrate on quality research because it will redress and mitigate the problems which confront society at various corners.
Dr. Ibupoto emphasized on the scholars to be serious for embarking research on different aspects of the society. He said we are striving day and night to promote the essence of quality research at our University so the country could be benefited from the output of the tangible results, he added.
Earlier, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Rahpoto, Chairman, Department of Economics welcomed the Vice Chancellor. He appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor for the promotion of research culture at the University and briefed the Vice Chancellor that online coursework is continue in the Department regularly. He also appreciated the contribution of I.T Team of University for their indigenous support in the way of conduct of online classes.

The Cake Cutting Ceremony of Christmas was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto performed the Cake Cutting Ceremony organized by the Employees Welfare Association (EWA), Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.
Speaking to the participants of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said, I firmly believe in religious harmony, interfaith dialogue and tolerance, because Islam teaches about the veneration for all religions. He added that Islam is religion of peace and brotherhood. On this auspicious occasion, I extend my felicitation to the Christian fraternity and our employees of Christian community. It is high time that the rights of the minorities may be promoted and protected.
Dr. Ibupoto appreciated the efforts of EWA for organizing this ceremony to pay the homage to Christian community employees of the University.
Mr. Qalandar Bux Bozdar, President, EWA and Mr. Muhammad Aslam Ghumro, General Secretary lauded the efforts of Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for respecting the Christian community employees. They said the University administration respects the minority communities. It is highly commended that Vice Chancellor despite financial crisis has disbursed the advance salaries to the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Christmas.

Mr. Ahmed Ali Qureshi, Deputy Commissioner, Khairpur and Mr. Nosherwan Ali Chandio, S.P Headquarter, Khairpur called on Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur at Vice Chancellor Secretariat.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto warmly welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and S.P Headquarter. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto apprised the visiting guests about the academic, development and research activities at the campus. Dr. Ibupoto narrated that we are committed to provide the higher education to our youth at minimum cost because these students belong to below poverty line. Vice Chancellor remarked that this University has a central place which joints as triangle of three provinces. Vice Chancellor said we are striving to maintain peace and tranquility at campus with the cooperation of the District Administration.
Mr. Ahmed Ali Qureshi, Deputy Commissioner extended felicitation to Dr. Khalil Ibupoto for joining this third largest Public Sector University of Sindh province. He assured the Vice Chancellor that in the capacity of Deputy Commissioner, we will extend full cooperation to administration of this University. We will provide maximum and possible support for the development of this University in the shape of different projects.
Mr. Nosherwan Ali Chandio, S.P Headquarter assured the Vice Chancellor that in the capacity of S.P Headquarter will provide foolproof security of the campus and we will maintain close liaison for the betterment of peaceful, congenial and conducive environment at the campus.

Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur paid a visit of on going Annual Examinations of L.L.B Part-I (Three Years Program) at A.B.D Law College, Sukkur.
Talking to the appearing candidates, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto while referring the importance of legal education, said that the legal education is an important education which provides knowledge about laws, rules, regulations and constitutions. He said we are striving to improve the legal education because the candidates of the time are future lawyers and judges. With their better understanding about law, there will be a congenial and conducive environment for Bar and Bench, as result speedy justice will be provide to the people, he added.
Dr. Ibupoto visited the Examinations Blocks extensively and felt his entire satisfaction over the arrangements made for the conduct of Examinations.
Advocate Imtiaz Ali Soomro, Principal of the College briefed the Vice Chancellor about the available facilities for the students i.e. Seminar Library, Digital Library and other allied facilities.
