A Mehfil-e-Milad of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W.W) was organized by the Department of Physical Education, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur with religious fervor, enthusiasm and solemnity. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed, Vice Chancellor presided the event while Prof. Dr. Imdad Hussain Sahito, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences was the guest of honor.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto remarked that with the teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (S.A.W.W), the Kuffars were converted and they embraced Islam with the character and integrity of the Prophet. The injunctions of Holy Prophet were based on tolerance, love and empathy with the poor people, neighbors. Islam is the complete code of life which was given by our Holy Prophet and this code is a model for entire world regarding economy, ethics, tolerance, forgiveness, social bond, education etc. He said it is high time that we must follow the teachings and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet in our daily life.
He narrated that I firmly believe in teamwork, it is need of the hour that we must contribute collectively for the development and image fortify of the institution. As result, the negative forces will be discouraged, he added.
Prof. Dr. Imdad Hussain Sahito appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of Physical Education in order to organize this Mehfil-e-Milad. He lauded the efforts of Mr. Muhammad Murad Pirzada and also congratulated Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for providing patronage to organize this sacred Mehfil.
Mr. Muhammad Murad Pirzada, Incharge Department of Physical Education cordially welcomed the Vice Chancellor and other guests. He said this Mehfil is a source of inspiration for us in order to remember the teachings of our Holy Prophet and we will also try to follow the path of Islam.
Mr. Najmul Hassan conducted the proceedings of the event. The students of the Department presented Naat Sharif.
