Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur called on the Executive Director Higher Education Commission Islamabad Dr. Shaista Suhail.
Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto apprised the Executive Director HEC regarding the pace of academic progress, research and development made by the Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. Dr. Ibupoto briefed that Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur has taken assertive measures to control the unnecessary expenditure, taken drastic measures to bring transparency and good governance. Dr. Ibupoto briefed her that at this juncture, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur is facing immense financial crunch and urged the Executive Director HEC to allocate an appropriate amount so the recurring expenditure may be meet.
On this occasion, Dr. Shaista Suhail commenced the dynamic efforts of Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto in the capacity of Vice Chancellor for the progress and development of the University. The Executive Director HEC assured the Vice Chancellor that as soon as funds are released, the appropriate amount will be allocated for the Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. Dr. Shaista Suhail commented that I have great realization about the financial health of the University.
The second meeting was convened with Director General Quality Assurance Agency Mr. Aqeel Ahmed Khan and his team in order to restart the halted M.S/M. Phil and Ph. D Programs of various Faculties of University in the wake of the a review committee of Quality Assurance Agency during the year 2018. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto informed the Director General Quality Assurance Agency that we have submitted the status of halted programs of M.S/M. Phil and Ph.D as required by HEC's minimum eligibility criteria to restore these programs accordingly.
Mr. Aqeel Ahmed Khan assured the Vice Chancellor that very soon the halted programs of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur will be cleared to be restarted. He appreciated the continue endeavors of Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for the promotion of higher studies programs at University and he has taken serious and sincere efforts in this regard.
The third meeting was held with the representatives of Education Testing Council (ETC), HEC, Islamabad. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto informed the representatives of ETC that we intend to conduct the Recruitment Test of Lectures and Assistant Professors in various Departments of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur as fresh appointment. The Vice Chancellor informed the representatives of ETC that the conduct of recruitment test aimed at to validate the recruitment process from the third party.
On this occasion, the ETC briefed the procedure, policy and mechanism process and policy of recruitment. The Representatives of the ETC assured that they will visit the University and check the on-ground realities for the conduct of fair and transparent recruitment test.
